The markets ended the last day on a high note. Erasing the previous day"s losses and shrugging off the spike in food inflation, the Sensex gained 120 points to end at 17,464 and the Nifty conquered the 5200 barrier to close at 5208, higher by 39 points. Rate sensitives' dismiss markets
Aggressive selling in rate sensitive stocks, couple of days ahead of the RBI policy review, saw the markets tank heavily. The RBI is scheduled to review its monetary policy on January 29. Markets fear hike of Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR), which in turn could affect these sectors.

FII-TO-FII TRADES: PNB traded at 6% premium

Trades between FIIs generated a volume of Rs 107 crore on the BSE Friday-an increase of 39.82% from Rs 77 crore clocked on Thursday.
