'275 mn 3G subscribers in India by 2013'

Govt to set up two regional directorates of companies

The locations have been decided after taking into considerations factors like increasing number of companies in the region, accessibility for the corporate sector, development, geographical location among others, he said. Currently, there are four regional directorates in the country, with one each in Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Noida. The directorates supervise the working of the offices of the registrars of companies and the official liquidators working in the respective regions. In addition, they also work with the state as well as central government in matters relating to the administration of the Companies Act.
